I am a book junkie. I found this book on silk ribbon cards at Joanns. I made 5 of the rose card in an evening. Why 5 do you ask? Well, the first rose didn't turn out too good, (it's the bright pink one) the second one worked up great but then I caught the back of the ribbon when I did the leaves and pulled some stitches flat, and you know no matter how you try you can never get them the same. Here is Carol's Tea Party Block, I only have one block left to go in this round robin and that is Lita's block.I love the porcelain disks that Flights of Fancy sells, and have been pondering them, attempting to make something similar in the designs I wanted. In the past I have found porcelain blanks at my local bead store and have made some disks or cabochons using a color copier transfer method.

This is my block for CQMagOnline's 2006 Project, Making Juvenile Diabetes A Little More Bearable . This is a 6 inch finished block. For the bear, I used a pattern from Gail Rogers book "The wool Embroidery Collection" The bear is felt and slightly padded and the flowers are all wool. I added sequin flowers to Rita's tea party block. Since I sell women's clothing for a living, I see all types of embellishments and designs. I have been intrigue by the popular use of sequins on the clothes we get in stock. This is some of the lace I painted to look like baskets. I added flowers in bullion stitch with ed-mar threads, silk ribbon french knots and the three gold dragonflies. Jean's Tea Party block is very pretty, soft pinks and mauve, a delight to work on.

A notebook cover I embellished and put together last week, it's really pretty simple as long as you measure where the cover art should be. It fits a small 5 x 7 pad of paper. I made the vase with polymer clay and a rubber stamp. You soften and flatten the clay, stamp the image on it, then cut it out with an xacto knife, smooth the edges and bake. Then I white washed it with acrylic paint to give

I belong to a great group of 30 stitching sisters called crazy gathering. Most of us have been friends for many years, meeting on other groups and finally making a group all our own. Here's the lace fans. A group of friends went in on a lace buy from Cheeptrims and I have about 20 of these fans to use. A friend of mine made two fans into the cutest crinoline lady, a full one as the skirt and a cut apart one as the parasol and I've been dying to try it, so that is on the agenda for these. I wanted to add a piece of dyed lace to Jean's tea party block and I found the perfect piece of lace. I wanted it to look like baskets so I could add embroidery flowers. I had a little trouble mixing brown, I only have a set of heat set dyes in primary colors, so after a little experimenting I made a golden orangey color that could pass for a basket. Another Tea Party Round Robin Block, this time it is Judy's lovely block. I added the felt Victorian boot with the silk ribbon flowers, two small flowers that were given to me in a squishie somewhere in time and a shell bird and beads. It was fun to do. I appliqued a larger boot over a smaller one to give it a stuffed look. I really had fun with this one.

I just love Australian Embroidery and Cross Stitch Magazine! There is always something I want to try. This is my version of the tape measure cover in Vol 12 No 7.
