I have been in round robins, I have created CQ items for friends, but I have never really made anything all by me, just for me.

A few years ago I was given these tassels.  They have been moved from place to place, jammed into a box, then into an overfilled drawer, and finally I just knew what they wanted to become.

I can't imagine what it would be like to lose the things we use to live.  Things that don't matter, and things that do, like Great Grandma's china or the photo's of the kids when they were babies.  I still have these things, some people don't.

I found this book on silk ribbon cards at Joanns. I made 5 of the rose card in an evening. Why 5 do you ask? Well, the first rose didn't turn out too good, (it's the bright pink one) the second one worked up great but then I caught the back of the ribbon when I did the leaves and pulled some stitches flat, and you know no matter how you try you can never get them the same. It fits a small 5 x 7 pad of paper. I made the vase with polymer clay and a rubber stamp. There is always something I want to try. This is my version of the tape measure cover in Vol 12 No 7. I found the tape measures at Wal-mart, sewing the felt cover on was so easy it only took about 15 minutes and went really fast while watching TV. The beading was okay, once I got the hang of it.
